The Scenic Route

A quick drive down one of the scenic routes in South Africa takes you to "Three Rondavels", "Bourke's Luck Potholes" and "God's Window".  They each occur where the upper western part of the country drops quickly away to the lower country in the east.

The Three Rondavels can be seen to your left in the background.  A rondavel is a traditional round african home.
These potholes are huge and were created over millenia by the swirling action of pebbles in the fast flowing water.

God's Window is an impressive drop with not much for safety railings - which we found out when Andersen nearly slipped through.  It's an impressive view to the west.
